I know when I first started making websites, I didn't know what on earth was an "Affiliate" or "CSS coding" or a "Tagboard" or anything!  But I'm going to help you people out there who are just like me!  In fact, I'm not a pro still myself!  Everything is in alphabetical order! This has basically become my little dictionary.

Look for the word you don't know what it means, and I'll help you!

Affiliate- Otherwise known as an affie, affiliates are just link exchanges. You put up a link to someone else's website, and they put up a link to yours. It's one way to get more people to your website basically.

CSS Coding- This is very hard to understand. But it means Cascading Style Sheets. You can customize your website using this. You have to have a "Code" which allows you to do this. It's very complicated, and you won't understand it at first! But to use it, you sometimes, not always, have to have a HTML website. Domain name- You can sign up for these, I think. But you get a site that's like: http://www.yoursite.com/ or .net, .org.

Hosted- You can sign up to be hosted at hosting websites. When you get hosted, you can say goodbye to Freewebs, pizco, or any Website builders. If you do this, then you will get a domain, or subdomain name. SEE DOMAIN AND SUB DOMAIN.

Tagboards- Tagboards are simply "Chat-boxes." I'm not sure why people named them Tagboards, but it is, what it is.

Stealing- Why is it so bad to steal things? You're not doing anything wrong?! But YOU ARE! Stealing pictures, smiles off of Tagboards, graphics, or anything without giving a link back to the site, or claiming that you made that layout, is illegal! You cannot do this! It is bad bad bad! Such as you copied this page, and said you made it, that's what I'm talking about! This is a HUGE NO NO!! BAD BAD!!!  You may think that you're not doing anything, but you are! The people who made those graphics, and layouts took a long time, just like how long it took to make this page!  I would not appreciate it at all if you told everyone that you copied this page and claimed it as yours!

Sub-domain names- you can have a website that when you're first hosted, (SEE HOSTED) you have this. Such as: http://www.yourname.yourhost.com/ .net, or .org. SEE DOMAIN NAME. ↑ A real example of a website is my friend Annalise's old website, http://marie.auberginer.org/ but unfortunately, she closed her site.

Symbols- There are thousands of symbols, but here are the common ones: :) is a smile, :D is a bigger smile. <3 is a heart, :( frown, =] smile, ]= frown, =) smile, )= frown.

Walls of Shame- Walls of Shame, well, I think that they're just a page on some people's websites that they put you on when you steal things. Stealing graphics, or pictures, layouts even. This is illegal to steal that stuff, and you can be arrested for it, I think. But these walls are not good if you're on them.
